On May 24, Harold L. Valk of Rockville. Beloved husband of Flora Sicat and the late Leila Ann Valk; devoted father of Amy (Sheldon) Stromberg and Peter (the late Barbara) Valk; dear brother of Rachel (the late Irving) Goldfinger; loving grandfather of Joanna (Jeff) Waldstreicher, Carolyn (fiance, Zack Leasure), Danny (Jenn Silber) and Joey Stromberg, Lauren Valk, Dana (Chris) Brandsey and David (Amy) Cox; cherished great-grandfather of Kate, Eli, Douglas and Harry. Funeral services were held on May 26 at Temple Shalom. Internment was on May 27 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to Montgomery Hospice, Classical WETA, Jewish War Veterans or to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Arrangements entrusted to Torchinsky Hebrew Funeral Home.
