On Nov. 8, Harriet and Stanley Garfinkle celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary. Both were born in Washington, D.C., and met in their early teens. They were married at Beth Sholom Congregation and Talmud Torah in Potomac (then located at Eighth and Shepherd streets in D.C.) and have lived nearly all of their married life in Silver Spring.
Their families join their children, Jay of North Carolina and Beth of Virginia, and their two granddaughters, Shelby and Mallory, in wishes of love, health and happiness. They are celebrating the occasion with a trip to a Mexican resort with their family.
