Jay Talpalar, of Potomac, died peacefully on May 3. He was born in Washington, D.C., and graduated from Staunton Military Academy in Staunton, Va. He attended George Washington University. He was a builder, developer and owner of Sherry’s Liquor Store, a real estate investor and he sat on the boards of several banks. He celebrated 61 years of marriage to his beloved wife, Beverly, before her passing in 2017. Loving father of Sheryl Bensimon and Alan (Cheryl) Talpalar; devoted grandfather to six grandchildren and one great-grandson. Brother of Eleanor Talpalar Rosenfeld. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Care.
