Jenna Rose Land, daughter of Erica and Robert Land of Rockville, will become a bat mitzvah on Saturday at Temple Beth Ami. Joining in the simcha are brother Jake and sister Danielle. Her grandparents are Dr. Marshall and Shirley Keys of Potomac and David and Grace Land of Lawrence, N.Y. For her mitzvah project, Jenna is raising funds and making a contribution to the National Capital Lyme and Tick-Borne Disease Association.
Jenna is a seventh-grader at Robert Frost Middle School in Rockville. She is a founding member of the Teen Angel Project, a nonprofit organization that spreads cheer through performing songs and dance for people in places like nursing homes, children’s hospitals and at charity events and she acts at Bravo at KAT, based in Kensington.
