Jenn and Dan Rafael of Fairfax Station have announced the birth of their son, Jesse Stephan Rafael (Hebrew name: Chaim Eliyahu ben Shlomo Moshe v’Bracha Miriam) on April 15 at Inova Fairfax Hospital. Also welcoming Jesse are his grandparents Susan Richardson of Jackson, N.J., Chuck and Pam Richardson of San Diego, Calif., Michelle Rafael of Clifton Park, N.Y., Herb and Cathy Rafael of Grand Cayman and his great-grandmother Alice Eisenberg of Brooklyn, N.Y.
Jesse weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and was 21.75 inches long when he was born. The brit took place at his home and was officiated by Rabbi Jeff Saxe of Temple Rodef Shalom in Falls Church and Rabbi Michael Henesch (mohel). Jesse is named memory of his paternal great-grandmother Jessie Kleid and her best friend Stephanie Hirsch, and maternal great-grandfathers Charles Richardson and Francis Schneider.
