Jordyn Wagman of Potomac will become a bat mitzvah on Jan. 11 at Temple Beth Ami in Rockville. Attending the celebration are Jordyn’s parents, Julie and Jeffrey Wagman of Potomac, sister Stefanie, grandmothers Shelia Yuter of Potomac and Ursula Wagman of Springfield. She is also the granddaughter of the late Jerold S. Yuter and the late Irving H. Wagman. Jordyn’s mitzvah project was assembling and delivering Thanksgiving dinner baskets to SOME (So Others Might Eat), an interfaith, community-based organization that exists to help the poor and homeless in Washington, D.C. She is a seventh-grader at Herbert Hoover Middle School in Potomac.
