Lawrence C. Jaffe, a retired Army lieutenant colonel of Vienna, Virginia died of cancer at Virginia Hospital Center in Arlington on Sept. 22 at the age of 76. Lt. Col. Jaffe served in the United States Army for 20 years with tours that included Vietnam, Japan and Germany. His honors included the Bronze Star, among many others. Following his military service, Jaffe worked at BETAC which supported the Department of Defense. He was a member of Temple B’nai Shalom in Fairfax Station. Survivors include his wife, Judith Katz Jaffe of Vienna; a son Stephen H. Jaffe (Romy) of Alexandria; daughter Lynne D. Fernandes (Paul) of Fairfax; and his four grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choosing.
