Lennard Loewentritt, of Gaithersburg, died June 12 at age 73.
Loewentritt was born in New York City to Alice and Siegfried Loewentritt. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin and the American University’s Washington College of Law, Lowentritt spent almost his entire 49-year federal career as an attorney at the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) as deputy general counsel. Loewentritt was known for his expertise on the subjects of travel, transportation and government procurement.
Loewentritt is survived by his wife of 50 years, Anne; children, Neil (Stacy) Loewentritt and Debra (Jeff) Voiner; siblings, Anita (Cliff) DeVine and Ralph (Dena) Lowenbach; sister Hannah and brother-in-law Ed Baer; granddaughters, Ilyssa Loewentritt and Emily and Samantha Voiner; and nieces, nephews and close friends. Loewentritt was predeceased by his parents and his stepmother, Hedwig Loewentritt.
