This letter is in response to the March 19 op-ed “Sen. Van Hollen Crosses a Line.”
Betsy Berns Korn cogently described Sen. Chris Van Hollen’s position when it comes to the State of Israel and its relationship with the United States. I recently heard the senator speak at Tikvat Israel [Congregation] in Rockville and left afterwards with the same impression I had beforehand — that he’s no friend of Israel and that his positions are, at best, misguided, accompanied by a double standard.
For those Marylanders who have sentiments similar to mine, there’s one simple way to help remedy this problem — next time the elections roll around, don’t vote for him.
