Cropped photo excluded brand-new scout
I am disappointed with your coverage of the new Scouts BSA troop in Kemp Mill (“Scout Troop 614 aims high and true,” Feb. 21).
I thought the article was right on target and the placement of the story on the front page was great. However, the cropping of the photo left a lot to be desired.
There were six scouts featured in the photo, but you chose to exclude one of the girls and the scoutmaster.
A more professional editing would have included all the participants.
Full disclosure: My granddaughter was the scout excluded.

Call out anti-Semites, wherever and whenever they may be found
I agree with everything said in a recent editorial (“Understanding Omar,” March 15). However, it fails to highlight a major bias in the Democrat-led resolution on anti-Semitism. While the actual resolution mentioned white bigots, it is woefully inadequate since it failed to condemn the anti-Semitism of the Rev. Louis Farrakhan and his congregation of anti-Semites.
It seems clear to me that many of our Democratic congressional leaders and some former presidents give a pass to Farrakhan and his supporters, which include one or both of our two anti-Semitic Muslim congresswomen.
Last week, I raised these issues on Sen. Ben Cardin’s web page, and have yet to receive a response. It would be nice if he would clearly raise the Farrakhan issue in the Senate. But, I won’t hold my breath.

Kudos to dancers near and far
Mazel tov to the outstanding performance of the Israeli Dance Festival DC Tenth Anniversary Festival on March 17 at the Melvin J. Berman Hebrew Academy.
This year, Lehakat Dor, a dance group from Buenos Aires, Argentina, partnered with the remarkable dancers in the Greater DC area.
The wonderfully talented dancers included elementary through college students, in addition to multi-generational performers of all ages.
L’dor v’dor. From generation to generation.
