Carl Yaffe’s first word was not “mama” or “dada.” It was “ball.” This was perhaps an early hint that the New York University senior basketball player was destined to be an athlete from the beginning. After he graduates, Yaffe plans to get citizenship in Israel and play professionally for either the country’s Winner or National league, the first and second division leagues respectively.
