On July 19, Louise Sidman, 94, passed away at John’s Hopkins University Hospital. The daughter of Rose and Samuel Corman of Washington, D.C., Louise was born on Nov. 18, 1919, at Sibley Hospital. She was predeceased in 1992 by her husband, Charles Julius Sidman, after 53 years of marriage.
The Tifereth Israel Synagogue in Washington, D.C., was central to their lives together. Louise was blessed to have lived to know and be loved by two sons, four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren and their families. She is survived by Stanley Sidman (Jeanene) and Arnold Sidman (Tobyanne); grandchildren, Howard Sidman (Laurie), Michelle Friedman (Neil), Eric Sidman (Nicole) and Steven Sidman (Lauren); and great-grandchildren, Ariana, Eli, Ari, Sophie, Charlie, Emma and Olivia. Louise was also blessed with a joyful, giving personality.
