On April 17, Marcia Zabronsky passed away in Silver Spring. Born in 1935 in Brooklyn, N.Y., Marcia graduated from the High School of Music and Art and received her B.A. degree in early childhood education from Brooklyn College.
For the first 20 years of her career, Marcia taught kindergarten and first grade in public schools in New York City and Arlington. Moving to Silver Spring in 1973, Marcia shifted to geriatrics, serving as a recreational therapist at a nursing home in Silver Spring, where she worked for 25 years.
She is survived by brother Martin Rosansky (Diana); children Jerry Zabronsky (Anne) and Dan Zabronsky (Robbin Marks); and grandchildren Liz, Kat, Hope, Eve and Sam. She was preceded in death by husband Herman Zabronsky. Contributions may be made to WETA-FM Classical.
