He was a longtime member of Congregation Agudas Achim, and was involved with Toastmasters and the alumni council at Alfred University. Marcus is survived by his father, Sidney Berman of West Orange, N.J.; wife Kathy Roller of Alexandria; brother and sister-in-law Simeon and Carol Berman; and nieces Sara and Abby Berman.
Marcus as been on my mind. My name is Judy and I am the neurology RN that spoke often to him and after some ruff ruff encounters, realized he was just a big teddy bear wanting to live lite all that he could. Inspite of his disabilities, he accomplished so much and touched many of our lives. He always asked about my son, Marc, who graduated from UGA- their football teams were rivals. He even made a cd of one of the games for Marc. Marcus’s passing was a shock. I have no idea what the cause was but, I hope that he went peacefully and my sincere condolences to his family.
