Martin Norwitz, of Rockville, passed away on July 23. Preceded in death by his wives, Anne Herson (1965) and Joan Sycle (2012). Martin is survived by his four beloved children and their spouses, Robert (Lisa) Norwitz, Laurie Baturin, Marc (Tammy) Norwitz and Sandy Norwitz (Jose Gonzalez) and five precious grandchildren, Brian, Danielle, Tyler, Alex and Hunter. He is also survived by his loving companion, Susan Newman.

Martin was a native Washingtonian, attending Coolidge High School, then Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh. He served in the Army as a medical clerk. He then owned and operated the family business, Wm. Norwitz Co. Bookbinders, in Washington for 39 years. Martin was a founding member and past president of Temple Beth Ami. After retiring, Martin served as a board member and officer of his condominium association for many years. Contributions may be made to Temple Beth Ami.
