Matthew Joel Zinn

Matthew Joel Zinn, of Washington, D.C., passed away on Sept. 28. He was 84. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Matthew graduated from Wharton at the University of Pennsylvania and earned a law degree from Harvard Law School. For more that 40 years, he worked at Steptoe & Johnson, where he was a partner. He is survived by his wife of nearly 60 years, Lenore Gordon Zinn; sister, Carla Bloch; children, David Zinn and Deborah Shiffman; daughter-in-law, Ellen Harris; son-in-law, David Shiffman; grandchildren, Sara, Sydney and Tyler Shiffman, Jaren, Amalie and Sophie Zinn; and a host of cousins, nephews and nieces.
