Woody Allen was honored with a Cecil B. DeMille Award at the 71st annual Golden Globes on Sunday, but not everyone was sharing in the celebration when Diane Keaton paid tribute to the Blue Jasmine director. Actress Mia Farrow, Allen’s longtime former partner and prominent Twitter user, posted on her social media account a simple “Nite all,” when the segment started. But it was her’s and Allen’s son Ronan Farrow who went for the jugular, tweeting:
Missed the Woody Allen tribute – did they put the part where a woman publicly confirmed he molested her at age 7 before or after Annie Hall?
— Ronan Farrow (@RonanFarrow) January 13, 2014
For those who don’t know the drama behind all this, Farrow, who split with Allen in 1992 after she discovered he and her adopted daughter Soon-Yi Previn (from a previous marriage) were in a romantic relationship, accused him of molesting their 7-year-old daughter Dylan Farrow during their long public legal battle over their three children. Last year in a Vanity Fair interview, Farrow also hinted that Ronan Farrow, who’s directed other tweets at his estranged father before, might not even be Allen’s biological son and could “possibly” be that of Frank Sinatra. – Ian Zelaya
