Rabbi Jack Moline, who was executive director at National Jewish Democratic Council from January to November of last year, has been named interim executive director of Interfaith Alliance, a Washington D.C. based-organization active in protecting religious freedom and individual rights.

Moline, who had been rabbi at Agudas Achim Congregation in Alexandria, is replacing the retiring Rev. Dr. C. Welton Gaddy. Moline has been active with this organization, and was its chair from 2006 to 2008.

“Any American engaged in the society around us understands the importance of the work we do at Interfaith Alliance.  I have been privileged to be a part of the work of this organization for more than 18 years in defense of religious freedom. We will not lose any momentum as we continue to protect faith and freedom, challenge extremism and build common ground,” Moline said.

Fred Garcia, chair of the board of directors, welcomed Moline. “He has been a powerful voice in defense of religious freedom for everyone regardless of his or her faith or belief. He understands the value of bringing together diverse voices and perspectives to challenge extremism and build common ground.”
