Thanks to streaming technology, Jewish book lovers everywhere can enjoy the speakers, workshops and other events hosted by Montreal’s Jewish Public Library for its Jewish Book Month, through November.

Events include a keynote with Israeli novelist David Grossman on Nov. 7, a conversation between Chantal Ringuet and Valérie Zenatti on Nov. 14 and an evening with Steven Pinker on Nov. 17.

Some events are free.

The only in person event, the 16th annual evening of Russian Culture, “Our Hearts are Holding Hands,” will be hosted by the Segal Centre, in Montreal, on Nov. 13. The event can also be streamed online.

Jewish Book Month has been around for decades and is held annually in the month preceding Chanukah — typically in November.

Once Jewish Book Month concludes, the Jewish Public Library will hold a follow-up event — a performance of Cantor Dan Benlolo — online only, on Dec. 12.
