Noam Ethan Schofer, son of Gregory and Lucinda Schofer of Bethesda will become a bar mitzvah on Saturday at Adat Shalom Reconstructionist Congregation in Bethesda.
Joining in the simcha are brother and sister Jory and Talia and grandparents Stanley and Paulette Schofer of Potomac and John and Rosemarie Trela of Pennsylvania.
For his mitzvah project, Noam worked on a river cleanup with the Rock Creek Conservancy.
He is an eighth-grader at North Bethesda Middle School.
