Philip Richard Alperson, of Silver Spring, died on May 14. For 32 years, Alperson served in the House of Representatives and Montgomery County government. He was a critical player in the passage of Tricare for Life for military retirees, and in coordinating the BRAC activities for Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. He was also a community theater performer.
Alperson was the beloved husband of Jane Hadden Alperson; the devoted father of Reva Elizabeth Alperson; loving brother of Ruth Alperson and Myra Alperson; and dear uncle to Jeremy Zauderer, Sadie Alperson and Frederick Spencer.
