On July 27, Phyllis Baretz, 79, in New City, N.Y. She is survived by her daughter Hathi Blackman of Princeton, N.J; her son Scott Blackman (Marcie) of Gaithersburg; and her grandsons Sam, Alex and Eric. She was predeceased by her husband Roger. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Mount Ararat Cemetery in Lindenhurst, N.Y. Memorial contributions may be made to United Hospice of Rockland in New York City or the JCC Rockland, West Nyack, N.Y.
