Phyllis Ploener (nee Slavitz), 85, died peacefully in her sleep in Bethesda on Aug. 9. Born on June 21, 1936, with her identical twin sister, Diane Raynes, deceased, to Max and Lilian Slavitz in West Chester, Pa. Phyllis graduated from West Chester High School in 1954 and attended University of Pennsylvania for one year before marrying Burton Ploener, who predeceased her. Devoted mother of Missy (Andrew) Dubroff and Nathan (Christina Juarez) Ploener; cherished grandmother of Matthew (Mandy) Dubroff and Lindsay Dubroff; loving great-grandmother of Maxie. Services entrusted to Sagel Bloomfield Danzansky Goldberg Funeral Home.
