Montgomery County police are investigating eight separate acts of anti-Semitic and anti-racist graffiti in Kensington, including the spray painting of a swastika on an inflatable Santa Claus display.

The incidents took place in the 4200 block of Matthews Lane, the 4200 block of Brookfield Drive and the 13400 block of Summit Avenue, all in Kensington. Police are calling the acts vandalism and are investigating whether they rise to the level of a hate incident.

Blue spray paint was used in all the incidents.

According to a police report, the graffiti included swastikas, racial and ethnic slurs and profanity.
