Rabbi Marvin I. Bash of Arlington has been elected president of the Rabbinical Assembly Retired Rabbis Association (RARRA). Rabbi Bash is rabbi emeritus of Congregation Etz Hayim in Arlington where he served from 1965 to 2001. He also served as the Army Jewish chaplain at Fort Belvoir from 2002-2011. The author of Messages of the Chofetz Chaim: 100 Stories and Parables, Bash previously served as president of the Washington Board of Rabbis and the Rabbinical Assembly Washington-Baltimore Region. He returns as president of RARRA after serving a previous term from 2011-2013.
