Ruth Greenberg Chaifetz died on June 9 from metastatic thyroid cancer.
Chaifetz, daughter of the late Sarah and Carl Greenberg, grew up in Buffalo, N.Y. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and loved her hometown.
Chaifetz is survived by her husband of 43 years, Richard I. Chaifetz; children, Peshie, Rebekah Saltzman, and Carl; grandchildren, Nathan, Alice, Alexander, Gordon, Sophie and Dahlia; siblings, Sanford Greenberg, Joel Greenberg and Brenda Schmand (Jim); nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great- nephews, cousins and friends.
