On Monday, March 25, Scott E. Friedel, also known as Scott Hardkiss.
Scott was a musical pioneer, a San Francisco DJ who played a key role in the development of America’s rave scene in the 1990s. Scott was raised in Potomac, and was a graduate of The Bullis School and the University of Pennsylvania. Scott was a brilliant artist, producer, DJ, husband, father, son and brother. He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Stephanie Diaz-Matos, beloved daughter Ilana, brother Glenn, and parents Ellen Wilner and Elliott Friedel.
