Seth Rogen and Jimmy Kimmel star in ‘True Detective Parody

Season 1 of the critically acclaimed HBO crime-solving anthology series True Detective may have ended with a bang last weekend, but Seth Rogen and Jimmy Kimmel may have already given us a glimpse of what is to come in Season 2.

To kick off his week of shows at the South by Southwest festival in Austin, TX, Kimmel provided viewers with a True Detective parody, with Rogen taking the reigns as Matthew McConaughey’s detective Rust Cohle and Kimmel as Woody Harrelson’s detective Marty Hart.

In a southern accent, Kimmel’s character noted the positive aspect of having Rogen as a partner. “You don’t pick your parents and you don’t pick your partner. You need to understand, Seth was intense. He came out of years deep narco,” he said. Rogen then appeared on screen, saying, “I put a great deal of terrible [expletive] in my body when I was under. I swallowed a whole bottle of children’s Tylenol PM, and not just the pills — the bottle. Costco size.”
