Sukkah Sightings

On Sunday, as the start  of the Sukkot holiday approached, Jews across the Washington area put the finishing touches on their sukkot, the flimsy huts that commemorate the Israelites’ 40-year wandering in the desert. The weeklong holiday is followed by Shemini Atzeret and Simchat Torah.

WJW went out to photograph, and received readers’ photos, of sukkot around town.
