Supporting Torah values

0

The day following the afternoon Torah reading of Yom Kippur, where we read in detail the biblically prohibited relationships, U.S. courts ruled – effectively legalizing gay marriage in 35 states. I would venture that not a single rabbi commented or is planning to comment on this issue from the bima. The cultural pressures in the galut are strong but unseen. The outrage is fading.

In the Orthodox world there is a concern about offending the sensitivities of members who have relatives or friends who choose such lifestyles. Hashem is watching. With the help of God, with more observant Jews in Israel, they will be able to stand up and support Torah values.
