The Jewish Federation of Greater Washington’s Ben Gurion Society partners with Yachad, the nation’s largest community repair program sponsored by the Jewish community, to help beautify homes for people getting back on their feet after homelessness.

More than 8,000 people turned out on Sunday for Good Deeds Day. The volunteers worked on some 140 projects in the District of Columbia, Maryland and Virginia. The annual event is organized by the Jewish Federation of Greater Washington.
