Thank you for being courageous enough to address suicide (“Confronting suicide,” Editor’s Notebook, Sept. 25). It is so important to try to break the barrier and stigma associated with suicide. I know my son Alex, whose funeral you attended and wrote about, would want us to better understand the pain the illness brings with it.
