What about gender preference?

0

I enjoyed reading the brief bios of the young people you featured in your “Singled Out” article (WJW, Aug. 28).  They sound like wonderful, warm and accomplished young Jews, and I hope your efforts result in many shidduchim.

For some of the featured bachelors/ bachelorettes, the gender of the partner being sought was apparent from the text, for example, “looking for someone serious in her aspirations.” For the
most part, though, it was hard to tell.

I encourage you to improve this valuable news column by allowing your featured singles to specify a gender preference, so that all our community’s available and committed Jewish singles are included as they seek partners within our tribe.
