Yael Adef and Joshua Eiserike

Perla Adef of Pasadena, Calif., joyfully announces the engagement of her daughter, Yael Adef, to Joshua Reuven Eiserike, son of Margie and Steve Eiserike of Olney. Yael is the daughter of Hector Adef z”l and granddaughter of Esther and Marcos Mincoff z”l and Clara and Benjamin Adef z”l. Josh is the grandson of Irene Miller of Silver Spring, and Herbert Miller z”l, Isaac Eiserike z”l and Sylvia Eiserike z”l.

Yael, the bride-to-be, is a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she earned a B.A. in political science and psychology and Emory University, where she earned a JD. Yael will receive her M.S.W. from the University of Southern California in May. Josh, the groom-to-be, is a graduate of the University of Maryland, where he earned a B.A. in American studies, and the University of Missouri, where he earned an M.A. in journalism. Josh works as a writer in Los Angeles and will receive his M.F.A. from the University of Southern California in 2014. Yael and Josh met as graduate students at the University of Southern California and plan to marry in July.
