Purim came in like a lion across the Washington area on March 6 — with a roar of boos for the evil Haman, dens full of groggers and the pride that comes from eating hamantashen.
True to form, Mordechai was wise, Esther was brave, King Achahshverosh was foolish and the Jews of Persia survived to eat again.
