Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia to host series of vaccine clinics

0

The Pozez JCC of Northern Virginia will begin hosting a vaccine clinic through Giant on Oct. 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., rain or shine.

Barring inclement weather, the community center will be hosting the clinic outside to get members of the community vaccinated against, COVID-19 (including boosters for those who qualify), flu, pneumonia, shingles, hepatitis a and b and T-dap.

In the event of poor weather, the clinic will be moved to inside the Pozez JCC.

Most insurance providers cover these vaccines, but Giant is offering a discounted rate to those without insurance who have to pay out of pocket.

The clinic will also be open on Nov. 10, 1:30 – 4:30 p.m. and on Nov. 18, 8:30 – 11:30 a.m.

To receive a vaccine, visitors must fill out a consent form, and should have their insurance and photo ID ready when they arrive. Additionally, everyone attending the clinic must be masked — regardless of whether or not they are vaccinated against COVID-19.

The clinics organizers are asking would be attendees to remain home if they are feeling unwell.
