Robert S. Plotkin, of Annapolis, died following complications from a hip fracture on March 16. He was 89. Mr. Plotkin was born in New York City in 1932. After attending the City College of New York and Columbia Law School, he spent most of his working career at the Federal Reserve Board in Washington, where he served as a lawyer and regulator. After retiring from the Fed, he moved to Annapolis, where he worked as a consultant and arbitrator. He was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Arnold, a former director of the Watergate Improvement Association and a volunteer docent at the Annapolis Maritime Museum.

He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 62 years, Eve Nezin Plotkin; daughter, Lisa Plotkin (Michael Green) and son Rick (Marguerite Rippy); grandchildren, Mira and David Green and Merrill Plotkin; sister, Irma Leeds and her children; sister-in-law Etta Becker and her daughters; and many wonderful relatives and friends. Contributions may be made to the Maryland Food Bank or Temple Beth Shalom. Arrangements entrusted to Torchinsky Hebrew Funeral Home.
